MASSIVE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT – DO NOT STAY HERE!

So, I actually stayed at this place a few years back, and even then it was nonstop noise. At the time, the host blamed it on some Airbnb renovation chaos in the building. Fine, whatever — I moved on.

Fast-forward to October 2025. I’m back in Medellín for a meeting, the location is super convenient, and I figure, “Hey, maybe it’s all sorted out by now.” Nope. Not even close.

The moment I show up, it’s clear there’s a massive construction project happening right next door…. and the host didn’t say a word about it. No heads-up, no warning, nothing. And look, Colombians are usually incredibly upfront and kind, but this host absolutely withheld information that completely wrecked my stay.

And here’s the kicker: this isn’t some quick little repair job. They’re renovating and adding onto a 50+ year-old building. Realistically? This thing is going to drag on for 24 months, which means you’re looking at noise and disruption well into 2028.

Bottom line: avoid this place until the construction circus is over.  Well, unless you’re into waking up to rubble removal, jack hammers, and general chaos.
